Support At The Doorstep

Using relief funds to distribute food kits that include rice, eggs, meat, milk, corn and other non-perishable dry goods to families Center staff members follow strict protocols to keep themselves and the families safe and healthy. Not only are the visits important for ensuring the children have the proper nutrition, but they also provide a personal touchpoint to share a prayer and words of encouragement.

Support Vital Newborn Nutrition

Her husband was unable to find work and the family was at risk of severe malnutrition. Fortunately, Tutu participated in Compassion’s Survival initiative which thanks to additional relief funding has expanded its work to include home-based check-ups and delivery of nutrition packs for mother and baby. 

Hand Sanitizer Project Helps Many

Children and families living in poverty are especially vulnerable to a global crisis like the COVID-19 pandemic. Health basics such hand sanitizer are often too expensive and difficult to find. 

Relief funds to establish a hand sanitizer enterprise that included training young adults to produce the germ-killing product.
